NEST

Nest has been created by former Apple engineers, and is the “world’s first learning thermostat”. Most people leave the house at one temperature and forget to change it. So the Nest Learning Thermostat learns your schedule, programs itself and can be controlled from your phone. Its sustainability at his finest because you don’t have to think about it!

Once the thermostat is installed, the user needs to answer some basic questions about heating preferences. During the first week, the machine registers and learns from the users’ habits and then starts programming itself based on those habits. With the sensors on it Nest knows when someone home or not. When someone’s home he will start his program and when someone’s not at home he will shut himself down. Also Nest is really smart…. It’s not a human but it’s smart. He uses Wi-Fi  to keep an eye for you on current weather conditions and forecasts so it can understand how the outside temperature affects your energy use. And with the Nest app you can control the system by yourself (if you want).
Robotic is the future and in several years we don’t need to think anymore. Yeah, we need to think about ourselves and need to work (or not?). But the simple things in life can be controlled by robots. The technologization is on a speed way and we’ll see more and more development in a several years.
